Steel Hemp Homes (SHH), is a wholly owned subsidiary of ECO Innovation Group (OTC: ECOx).
SHH is initiating a research and innovation project to model more resilient, affordable and sustainable construction methods in Santa Barbara County, California.
The Steel Hemp Home design, derived from the Frank Lloyd Wright "Usonian" approach to affordable and sustainable housing is based in cold formed steel (CFS) framing complemented by importantly effective and carbon negative hemp building materials. CFS framing labor costs are less, durability is greater, and superior hempcrete is highly fire resistant, exceptional insulation, and is beneficial to health and wellness.
Hemp is carbon negative and steel framing has proven resiliency to fire, earthquakes and hurricanes. The prototype combination is meant to be replicated throughout the building industry worldwide.
